With the continuous increase of vehicle speed, the lighting distance of the headlights on the car can reach 200 ~ 300m.

Fog lights

Fog lights are installed on the front and rear of the car. It is used to illuminate the road when driving in rainy and foggy weather and provide signals for oncoming and behind vehicles. The front fog lights are installed near the headlights, generally slightly lower than the headlights, because the visibility is low in fog and the driver's vision is restricted. Red and yellow are the most penetrating colors. The light color of the front fog lamp is yellow. This is because the yellow light has a longer light wave and good fog penetration performance. The bulb power is generally 35W. When a single rear fog lamp is used, it should be installed on the left side of the longitudinal plane of the vehicle. The distance between the rear fog lamp and the brake light should be greater than 100mm. The light color of the rear fog lamp is red to warn the trailing vehicle to keep a safe distance. The bulb power is generally 21W.

Reversing lights

The reversing light is installed at the rear of the car to illuminate the road behind the car and warn other vehicles and pedestrians when reversing, indicating that the car is reversing, and also has the function of a light signal device. On the contrary, the light color of the light is white, and the power is generally 28W.

License Plate Light

The license plate lamp is used to illuminate the license plate of the vehicle, and the license plate number is required to be seen 20m behind the vehicle at night. The license plate lamp is installed above or on the left and right sides of the license plate at the rear of the car. The light color is white and the bulb power is 8~10W. It has no separate switch control, and is controlled by the width indicator light or the headlight switch. There must be a license plate light as required by regulations, and it must be controlled by the same switch as the small light.

Automotive interior lighting system

The car interior lighting system is composed of top lights, instrument lights, step lights, work lights, and luggage compartment lights. Mainly to provide convenience for drivers and passengers. The light color is white, and the bulb power is in the range of 2~20 W.

The ceiling light is installed on the top of the cab or compartment and is a lighting fixture in the cab or compartment. The light color is generally white.

Dashboard lights, installed in the dashboard, are used to illuminate car dashboards. The light color is generally white.

Step lights are generally installed on the left and right sides of the car's getting on and off steps. They are used to illuminate the door steps to facilitate passengers getting on and off the car. The light color is generally white.

Work light: It is a low-voltage lighting tool that can be moved and used during vehicle maintenance. The power source comes from a generator or a battery. It is often equipped with hooks or clamps, and the plug is a smoker type or a two-post plug type.

Luggage compartment light: It is the lamp in the luggage compartment of a car, the light is white.

Reading light: Installed on the front or top of the passenger seat, the occupant reading book will not dazzle the driver when the light is concentrated, the lighting range is small, and some have an optical axis direction adjustment mechanism.

Door light: It is installed at the bottom of the inner side of the car's outer open door. When the door is opened, the door light will light up to notify pedestrians and vehicles to avoid later. The power is 5W, and the light color is red.

Car light signal system

1. Turn signal lights

Installed on the front, rear, left and right corners of the car, it is used to send out a flashing signal of alternating light and dark when the car is turning, so that the front and rear vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic police can know the driving direction. The light color of the turn signal lamp is amber platinum, and the bulb power is generally 20W. For the indication distance of the car's turn signal lights, the front and rear turn signal lights must be visible at a distance of 100m during the day, and the side turn signal lights must be visible at a distance of 30m during the day. The flashing frequency of the turn signal lamp should be controlled within 1.0~2Hz.

2. Hazard warning lights

The hazard warning signal lamp is used when the vehicle encounters an emergency hazard situation, and the front, rear, left, and right turn signals are turned on at the same time to send a warning signal. It has the same requirements as turn signal lights.

3. Brake lights

The brake light is used to indicate the braking or deceleration signal of the vehicle. The brake lights are installed on both sides of the rear of the vehicle. The two brake lights should be symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and at the same height. The light color of the brake lights is red, and it should be visible at a distance of 100m during the day.

4. Marker lights

The position lights are installed on the front, rear, left and right edges of the car. Used to indicate the width of the car when driving at night. It is used to mark the width and height of the car when driving at night, so it is also called "width indicator light" and "height indicator light" accordingly. The position light signs are visible at night 300m away. The light color of the front outline lamp is white, and the light color of the rear outline lamp is mostly red, and the bulb power is 8~10W.
